Big things, people. Big things.

Thanks to Aunt Abbi, Kate got her first haircut last week. She's two and a half and we've never taken her for so much as a trim. Oh, it's been a big debate and topic of discussion for about the past year, but it wasn't until now did we decide to finally go for it.

She was so excited! And although we only trimmed a tiny bit, actually just the lil' rat tail that seemed to make its grand debut into her tresses a few months ago, it made a big difference.

It was a pretty big event. M to the Izz-A came by on his lunch break and Sal Gal met us there with my nephew, Chas, as well. Kate's first trim turned into a family affair. She had her own paparazzi!

I think it's safe to say that she was happy with the end result!

Now I'm feeling all brave and stuff, and I'm wanting to take another inch or so off of it. We shall see!
Thanks again, Aunt Abbi!

And just a quick update on the baby front: At my last appointment, the heartbeat was 170. I know some people say that they can tell the gender based on heartbeat, but I don't believe that's very accurate. I go back next week, but won't find out if it's a boy or girl until the following appointment. When I was pregnant with Kate, I just had this feeling and knew that I was having a girl. But with this pregnancy, I really can't tell. I don't have a strong feeling either way. Maybe it's because I don't have as much time to just sit around and think about it. Who knows?
I'll be about 4 months (16 weeks) next week and so I figured I could start doing some belly pics soon...

Awe, how cute! My daughter is 16 months and I don't plan on the first haircut for a while either. Probably when she gets the so-called 'rat tail'. ;)

My vote goes to girl on the new baby....congrats!

Kate's hair does look good! I know that first haircut or trim is hard. With the second child I was like cut it off and give her a bob!

And for you folks above this comment who are wondering, no she, Hollie, does not have a bump yet, and yes she is still wearing her reg. jeans! Love ya Hol, but WAY jealous!

Kate is such a sweet girl! I do think a bob would be SO cute on her! As far as the sex of the baby.. I just knew I was having a girl the first two times....three boys later..lol

Fun! :) I'm 18 weeks and just had an appt this morning. It was 146 this time...the first ultrasound, it was 170 as well. I thought it was a girl then, but now I'm thinking boy. I've always had a feeling this is a boy though. Such an exciting time! :)

Love the photos.. I can't bring myself to trim Avery's either. I'm scared she'll lose her curls!

Can't wait to find out the gender of Baby T! I had the same feelings with Delaney..knew she was a girl from day 1. With Avery I had a strong feeling, but everyone screaming boy in my ear made me feel like I wasn't so sure. But, my instinct told me she was a girl just not as strongly with Delaney :)

You look fabulous, Hollie! Can't wait to start seeing some belly pics when your belly starts making an appearance! :)
