I'm just a rod and reel away from having my own fishing show

Please tell me ya'll remember Old Pal.
If not, please revisit my post from about a year ago when M to the Izz-A presented me with a new-to-me tackle box as the gracious new home for all of my nail polish.

Well, he's done it again.

A week or so ago M to the Izz-A comes home with this:

I innocently assumed he'd won a raffle of sorts at work. Cool, a tackle box. No, excuse me, a tackle system.

It turns out the this prize was not in fact won - Oh to the contrary, it was purchased...purchased for me...and all of my jewelry (costume jewelry that is) that seems to be overtaking our dresser, closet, and bathroom counters.

This, my friends, is no longer a tackle box, but is now my new jewelry organizer/storage system gifted to me by my loving, practical, thinking outside of the (tackle)box husband.

Thank you, dear.

It comes with different sized dividers to accommodate all of my jewelry storing needs, creating long, short, big, and small spaces. I'll be able to customize it to fit necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, and whatever else I may acquire.

Heck, I may even throw in a hula popper for good measure.

Once I get it all organized I'll post pics so you can see the final product.

This is just how M to the Izz-A operates. He sees a need and finds a way to fill it, however odd his solutions may be.

Take, for instance, this piece of closet shelving.

It currently serves as an incline for our dish drainer and has served in this position for the past 4 years. The drainer wasn't really draining at it's fullest potential, so it got a little lift. Now it's draining all that excess water like a champ.

Then one day he says to me, "You know why I put that flip flop under the laundry detergent, don't ya?"

"Uh, no."

Apparently it solves the detergent-dripping-down-the-side problem. It helps the excess detergent that usually gets clogged around the spout to drain back into the container and therefore ensures it doesn't drip down the sides, making it all sticky.
You. go. boy.

These are just a few of his 'home improvements'. Country boy can survive, no?

He also put tennis balls on the legs of Kate's highchair to keep it from scratching the floor.

So, practical Pete strikes again.

I joked one time about him buying me a toolbox to store and organize my underthings. I don't think that day is very far off.

But for now, I'll just continue to let everyone think I'm quite the fisherman.

I use that same exact clear fishing tackle box for my earrings, necklaces and bracelets. I get them at WalMart. I literally have three of them stacked in my closet! It's perfect!

Men are so funny! They are such "fixers" aren't they? They MUST find a soluation to the problem ASAP (probably why we get annoyed with them when we "just want to vent" and they want to solve the issue!) too cute though. Gotta love the male mind!!
