On the way home from picking Kate up from preschool yesterday, she matter-of-factly says, "Mama, I burped at school today. I really did."
"You did what?"
"Laugh, Mama! Laugh really hard!"
<Enter my over the top laugh here>
"Tell Daddy!"
Obviously she thinks Daddy would appreciate it more than I did.
"Did you say, "excuse me?"
"No."
Oh, good. Looks like we're starting off the school year on the right foot.
After we got home, my sister, Sal Gal, stopped by for a visit.
Please keep your eyes on the photo's subjects and pay no attention to the two packages of Chips Ahoy in the background. (They were buy one get one free. I like to get one pack of chewy and one pack of crunchy. Clearly that sale was made for me. I am a sucker for BOGO's. And cookies.)
It appears they're not sharing the same emotion in the picture. Apparently Kate would rather still be discussing her awesome burping skills.
No worries. She turned that frown upside down just as soon as she cornered Sal Gal in her room and made her play with every toy she's had since birth.
Oh, and we signed Kate up for soccer. She's so very excited about getting to wear a 'unicorn' (uniform).
