Travel size Shmavel size

Last weekend was delightfully uneventful. We stayed home and did 'home stuff', like put out a few more fall decorations, went on a bike ride, and locked myself out of the house. No need to elaborate, you've been there before. You know what it's like. And if you haven't, keep it to yourself and just act like you have for my benefit. It's still an open wound at this point.

I was glad to spend a weekend at home with the fam because M to the Izz-A leaves tomorrow for Brazil. He's going on a 10 day missions trip with three other men from our church. He's excited and nervous at the same time, as am I. We would covet your prayers over the next 10 days.

On a lighter note, going on a trip means buying travel items. So last night we went to Target and Wal-mart and attempted to get him all set up for Brazil. I'm not quite sure how you 'prepare' yourself for Brazil, but we tried. Have any of you bought travel-sized anything lately?! The travel size shaving cream is a joke. It would lather my shin. And that's it. The travel size shampoo? Yea, it would suds-up my bangs.

I can't post long as I'm trying to help him with last minute packing. Men.

Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers tomorrow as we see him off. And pray that the Lord will work through him and the others while they're in Brazil.

Oh, and Kate wants to tell ya'll something. But for some reason she wants to wait for Wordless Wednesday to share.

Stay tuned...

I have locked myself out of the house three times. Once when it was freezing and raining, and then in the massive heat. It's not a fun experience is it? I will be praying for your hubby while he is in Brazil! Can't wait to see what Kate has to tell us!:)

Will most definitely hold your hubs up in prayer while he's on his mission trip... how exciting!

I'm such a sucker for tiny travel gadgets - even thought they're pretty much useless... they're still CUTE as can be!
