Fly Away Bird

I'm going to find that bird. The one that mysteriously manages to creep into Kate's room at night and make his nest in the back of her head.

I'm sure there's another child out there with more lustrous, flowing locks that would make an excellent spot for his nest.

Please Mr. Bird, if you're reading this, have a heart and give the back of my child's head (and her comb) a break.

Hollie,

I have super curly hair and a couple years ago I bought a silk pillow case. Talk about life changing! The silk is alot easier on my hair than cotton and I don't wake up with huge, horrific knots all over the place. Target carries silk pillowcases that are pretty cheap (usually on the endcaps...whatever their proprietary brand is...)

Best,
Nicole

Hahaha! I remember how painful it was when my mom would comb through mine when I was little.

This makes me laugh! I teach children and it is always fun to see how many come in with "bedhead". Believe me, it's alot! I think their hair is so fine that it just tangles so easily when they are having those sweet dreams. I love it!

First of all, thanks for visiting my blog!

Second, I have a flock of those birds at my house... They hide out with that mysterious kid "Nobody" who's always making messes around my house.

My two little brown girls have nests like you can't believe. I'm a week and counting on combing out one of their nests before we get her hair braided. Neither of us has patience for the process.

Good luck catching that bird but when you let it go, don't send it West to AZ... this house is over populated!

Love your blog:)

YOUCH! I remember how bad it hurt for my mom to get those nests out of MY hair! I still am tender-headed to this day! I hope Mr. Bird migrates south for the winter to some other little girl's head!

That is too funny. When I first started reading it, I thought you were complaining about an actual bird outside (which I've had problems with), but then I saw the picture and busted out laughing.

P.s. I finally figured out how to put a line through my words. Thanks for your help!

haha! That's what my hair looks like in the A.M. too! I barely move when I sleep, so I have no idea how that happens.

Have a great holiday =)

I completely understand where you are coming from. Our youngest Cayde has some curly hair and EVERY morning he wakes up with a birds nest! I feel for curly headed yungins', but even more so for their parents!

I really enjoy reading your blog. You have a beautiful family.
