On the Go

Last night we went to Cracker Barrel to have breakfast for dinner. I planned this on Thursday night as I was lying in bed. That's what I do. Instead of reflecting on the day, I plan my next meal. I really think I have an abnormal love for food. So instead of making everything at home, we decided to go out, plus there's no clean-up that way.

We brought Matt's Granny and Paw along with us.

Kate thinks the best part about Cracker Barrel is that they have a little shop full of gifts and toys. I couldn't agree more. It's perfect. She plays and walks around until her meal comes, which really helps to make the night enjoyable, if you know what I mean.

She is still obsessed with bubbles and persuaded Daddy into buying her some.

Ya'll are not going to believe everything I had to eat. Actually, if you know me, you will have absolutely no problem believing it. I had four pieces of french toast, two eggs, three pieces of bacon, and a bowl of grits. And I ate every last bit of it. That's why I'm smiling so big in this picture. Happy tummy=Happy Mommy

I saw this pillow on the way out and loved it!

There's something so wrong, yet so right, about eating in an establishment that also sells bubbles and pillows.

This morning I got up and ran in a 5 mile race nearby. The weather was perfect and it felt great. (There's usually a photography company at the races taking pictures of all the runners. If I get a picture I'll try to post it.) I then hurried home to get ready to take Kate to her cousin Isaac's third birthday party. She fell asleep on the way there and managed to stay asleep for the first 45 minutes of the party.

Standing and holding a sleeping child does wonders for the ol' back.

She finally woke up and had so much fun! She loves parks and loves being around other kids, so it was the perfect day!
Here's a few more pics of the party:

Kate with her cousins, Anna and Lillie

The birthday boy

He had a blast! I could barely get him to stand still for this photo.

Sal Gal and me
And I have know idea what is up with that vein in my neck but apparently it wanted to be included in the picture.
Tonight I'm hoping to just take it easy, maybe with a pizza and movie.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

You are beautiful and so lucky you don't have to worry about what you eat. I'm glad that Kate was able to enjoy the birthday party! Have a great week~end!

You're seriously super woman/super mom. Eating a giant meal and still super skinny, running a 5 mile race and going to a bday party while still managing to look so happy and perfect! I'm jealous!!

I love me some Cracker Barrel, too, and I share your affection for food! I was going to ask you how in the world you can eat like that and look like you do, but you answered it in your next paragraph --a 5 mile race!

Love all the cousin pictures! You have such a beautiful family!

Have a great weekend!

Cracker Barrel is the only restaurant where I get mad if they DON"T have a wait! Otherwise, I don't get to shop in the cute little country store!!!!

We went to Cracker Barrel too!! Except we went on Thursday and my mom and dad came too!! How funny! They had a lot of little things with chocolate sayings on them. I thought they were cute too. I ate a ton too... but didn't run 5 miles so that MAY be, I'm thinkin', the reason WHY I am not skinny. Eat a TON at CB and then go home and go to bed. Yep, it'll do it everytime! :) Ok... going to run to the kitchen now for a snack! All this typing has made me famished! Hee!! :)

I think I said "too" 400 times in my last comment! I think I, too, have some vein that needs attention! And it's not in my neck!

That Cracker Barrel place sounds awesome, I wish they had one where I live! I've never even heard of it before.
And yes, you are Superwoman to take on that huge meal, a 5 mile run, and birthday party in less than 24 hours. Geesh!

First of all, can I please eat like you and be as thin as you. It's really not fair. I mean, I want to be friends with you, but you make it so hard.... =)

Also, in regards to my blogversations:

What he SHOULD have said was, "Oh honey, I can't narrow it down to just three..." and then he should have said all the things until he noticed my face was relaxed and happy.

When will they learn???

Must we start hosting seminars for these men?

Maybe we should get together and work out this business idea of mine!!! And maybe if I hang out with you, your perfect body will rub off on mine. =)

I love Cracker Barrel too, we could be related with our love for food!! Minus the grits, I typically get that too!! That's not one close to us here in Houston, such a bummer, but when we go home we always go there to eat. My 5 year old's favorite part is the gift shop too!! And the pancakes!

I love Cracker Barrel, too! Although, I pretty much love any restaurant that has good food....gotta love the no cleanup!

5 miles....you go girl, that is amazing!! I will be on the treadmill tonight. I so want to lose about 10-15 lbs before vacation in mid-April. So, that is my goal. (although the mini Charleston Chews that I am eating today, are surely not helping that goal!!) I found the big boxes (movie size) at Walmart for $1.00----couldn't pass that bargain up!!

Kate is so adorable!

Have a great week~

We ended up at Cracker Barrel for Valentine's Day...(I know how romantic...hehe)It was the only place without a 2hr. wait and the kids ended up loving it. Although there I was hoping for a wait so I could shop...bummer! It's so cheap too...I love it!

I was going to say the same thing, how do you eat the way you do and stay so thin? but running can do wonders......I'm working my way up to being able to run a straight mile so if your doing 5 you go girl! I started at barely able to run a lap so I'm getting there.....

Love the birthday pics....Kate is such a cutie!

I am so jealous with envy, wait, that's the same thing. You eat what you want, but manage to stay so perfectly slim. BUT, you do run and I don't. :) So, that must be it, right? :) You are so funny!
