Shuffle Step

Last night M to the Izz-A told me that he got us tickets for Riverdance for Valentine's Day. I'm so excited! And if you know me, I've been practicing my moves all around the house ever since the word 'Riverdance' left his lips, just in case they spot me in the crowd doing a flawless tap number and want me to join them for the remainder of their tour.

The fact that he took the initiative to purchase the tickets kind of blew me away. But lately, he's done several things that have taken me for a loop:

- Aside from Riverdance, he shared with me the other night that after years of watching me wrestle with my blow dryer and straightening iron everyday (oh who am I kidding, a few times a week) he's developed an idea for an invention that will cut out all of the hair hassle. It's some kind of dryer and straightening tool that he described it to me in amazing detail. I've never heard him talk about anything in too much detail other than the deer he spotted on the way home from work. And now he's designing hair tools? (Cue Twilight Zone music here)

- Be warned, this one is the kicker. On the way to the mall last weekend (and the fact that he went with me to the mall should be an item all to itself) he brings up the fact that Kate will be two years old in June, and we will be....well, numbers aren't important here...but his point was that if we were planning on having another child that we should probably start thinking about it and working it into our whole mental 'timeline' of things. Woah! (Cue any music that would go well with my eyes bugging out of my head here)

The kid's on a roll I tell ya. His brain has definitely been churning lately. Actually, one of my favorite things to say to him is, "You have a fun time in that brain of yours, don't ya?" I seriously think he does.

So really that's all that's been going on around here lately. That's the news on our home front. I've been pretty boring lately....so much that I'm even getting bored with myself.

But now I'm off to wrestle blow dry this horse's mane that I call my hair, also know as my morning aerobics.

Have a great Wednesday!

You are incredibly BLESSED! I don't think at any point in our child rearing my husband ever said that he thought it was time or we should think...with us it all just kinda happened. What a thoughtful husband you have there :)

Can we say Hubby of the Year competition??? :-)

Tell your hubby to hurry it up with his invention because I can't take another day of fighting with my dryer. Then the straightner...ugh its work. Sign me up for whatever he is inventing. Have a good day!

Wow he is on a roll....Riverdance?? how thoughtful of him. That is so sweet! He reminds me so much of my hubby. Everything is hunting hunting hunting so when he comes up with something new it's always shocking! Except my hubby wants nothing to do with more children. :(

Enjoy your show and I want to hear all about it! Oh and I too want one of those dryer/straightener thingys.

It's funny how their minds work! I am constantly surprised by what my guy comes up with. Apparently he isn't as tuned out as I think he is.

Let me know how the hair-drying-straightening-machine-invention thing works out for you. You may have to market those.

Have a Blessed Wednesday,

I definately don't see my hubby buying Riverdance tickets anytime too soon, but he also decided to have the "more kids" talk this week. Must be the weather?!?

I don't know about you, but it completely freaks me out. I was all excited about planning the first one, but the second one totally throws me for a loop. I can't even imagine the craziness and exhaustion. The good Lord is just going to have to make that decision for me! He knows when the time is right :)

Think he's sniffed one to many diapers? Kidding. Kate's pretty darn cute, I could see how he would like another.

On another note, I think that all this cold weather has made the husbands want to nest....strange, but I like it!
