We're professional party-goers

Like last weekend, we attended a birthday party on Saturday. And we've got two more birthday parties on the calendar for the upcoming month. We're becoming pros at the party business. I actually love going to them because it gives Kate time to play with her friends and also gives me time to hang out with mine! More on the partying in a minute. Let's first take a look at Friday's adventures.

On Friday Matt took Kate to the zoo. He was good enough to come home with pics to share.

On Friday night we decided to go get some ice cream and were planning on coming back into the house to relax a bit until Kate decided that she wanted to take a quick cruise around the yard.

If it looks like I'm hanging on for dear life and frantically trying to steer for her, it's because I am. The button that makes the thing go was hard to push so M to the Izz-A pulled one of his stunts.

You can see the tape holding it down. So basically it goes and goes and never stops unless you pull the tape off, which is difficult to do when it's running at full speed with a 20 month old who doesn't quite get the concept of steering behind the wheel. It's all very safe.

And on Saturday, we went to my friend Kerri's house for her little boy Brock's second birthday party.

After church and a long nap, Kate woke up in a great mood and ready to play.

We spent the afternoon playing around in the yard. We fed the ducks, had a picnic, and enjoyed the beautiful weather!
