- I'm beginning to get sick and it happened overnight. My throat is sore and I'm almost certain that if a telemarketer called me right now, I would somehow be referred to as 'sir'. And I know exactly why my sickly voice sounds as masculine as it does. It really is no mystery. It's because last night I went to see the movie Bride Wars and I made a little quip about Kristen Johnston (who plays Anne Hathaway's coworker) having a man voice. Now that's some serious karma.
- I've been spending the past several days working on a work related project that is due this Wednesday. Even though I taught school for several years in Florida before transferring to Georgia, I'm still treated as a 'new' teacher and therefore have to go through Georgia's little training episodes. So I've been spending most of my spare time (does that even exist?) on this lengthy project and I'm about to go nuts. Seriously Georgia, can't I just pledge my allegiance to football and fatback and call it a day?! (fatback - also commonly referred to 'white bacon, ' fried bacon fat' , or 'clog your arteries in a milli-second')

Sorry you have a man voice! I swear I've been there!!! Something about repeating yourself all day to hoodlums and breathing in all their germs at the same time. Probably nothin' to do with karma. =)
That stinks about all the extra work- dang Georgia! I just found out today that I have to pay the state dept. to get my additional licensure... wasn't my $2000 to GET certified enough???? Sheesh!

Our thought and prayers are with you and is is our hope that God wil heal your voice very soon so that you dont progress from sounding like Barry White to sounding like Micheal Clarke Duncan. Of course then you could say "I's tired Boss....Dog tired"

Cracking me up!!That happens to me about once a year and it takes a good three days to shake the voice.
Fatback and football...you are truly southern if you know and love these two things!! Reminds me of my childhood...of breakfast with fatback gravy and Friday night football. You have made me smile today!I used to be a teacher and can I tell you I have had my feel of those work related "projects" and I am so glad to be done with that!!

Sorry about your ouchy deep voice! Hope you get better so soon, my 3 have been sick around here. I was starting to get cabin fever today and headed to the grocery store and almost had an anxiety attack being around so many people. I hate that feeling, but all went well.
