What's wrong with this picture? I'll tell you what's wrong.1. I'll start by stating the obvious. It's a bag of jewelry labeled "Refrigerate any leftovers". Need I go on?
No, but I will anyway.
2. I have given in to what M to the Izza has been trying to get me to do for years now: reuse ziplocs. Eww.
3. I found it necessary to show Kate's sitter that day just what a cheapskate I am. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT throw away the leftovers for Pete's sake!
4. Not only do I now reuse zip-dang-locs, it apparently doesn't even phase me to cross room borders.
This bag seems to have started out providing service in the kitchen and somehow managed to make it to my vanity in my bathroom.
5. The jewelry in this bag has been there since the last trip we took.
6. The aforementioned trip took place in June.
It is now nearly October.
And this picture? Well...it's what got me out of bed this morning.

i havent been able to bring myself to re-use ziplocs yet...but I probably should. Do you wash them with soap/water between uses?

heck yes I wash them between uses. I'm not sure that makes it any better, but yes definitely. and let me say that I don't do this ALL the time, I throw many away (when he's not looking, of course.) ha ;-)

Must admit... I have been re using zip locks for years...mainly because we weren't able to get them here in Norway...& I use them for EVERYTHING!

That's funny - I just found a PILE of ziplock bags I guess I had used on our last trip that I put all my shampoos & soaps in it....they were right there & I actually needed them for a weekend get away! Glad to see I'm not the only one who re-uses them! Just think of it this way - we're "recycling" to save the planet!
I would be on a sugar high!!! But yum!
And I recycle ziplocs...I have one in each pet food container for traveling with our pups, two in my suitcase - one for shampoo and stuff - and one for dirty clothes! So you aren't the only re-user! ;-) Don't feel alone!
I just wish I could even save leftovers - I am not a leftover person. Brian is, but not I.

I soooo appreciate the fact that another grown adult loves her some fruity pebbles! I am always embarassed shopping the cereal aisle, I feel like I should borrow a kid so I can justify the fruity pebbles, cap n crunch, and honeycombs... haha! That is a great motivation in the morning!! :)
wow! i am totally known to keep stuff from a trip in a bag for way too long. i totally feel ya there, but bag reusing! WOW! it's just not for me. i'm horrible. my MIL used to wash them out and save them. EWWW there is something about a wet bag drying draped over something on the counter i can't deal with . but to each his own. but that's not to say i wouldn't re-use a baggie that had snacks, and add more. or something. or a bag of bread inside a ziploc i could do. just nothing wet. but that has more to do with me being a FREAK about stuff that grosses me out like dishes, and stuff.

I used to LOVE fruity pebbles!
My Gramma reuses her ziploc bags too. I always found that weird. But, I think if she knew you were doing it too, it would make even her do a heel click. (o: And Fruity Pebbles rock. I love drinking the milk after a bowl of those.

My mother reuses ziplocks...and reuses and reuses. I try to make her stop after 2 or 3 reuses. lol I could never not keep leftovers either...oh and Fruity Pebbles...THEY RULE! Now I want some! lol

I reuse ziplock baggies until they fall apart. Is that bad??? I've never even thought twice about it :-)

I am a serious ZipLoc Bag re-user! I put all of my meats in freezer bags before freezing and I save ALL of them and reuse them when I empty them! When they finally do wear out, they go straight into the recycle bin!

fruity pebbles are one of my fav junk cereals. It was my only craving when I was pregnant with my first! I loved them about 10 at night though
